Born in Surinam, John is dedicated to music with his heart. Started with friends beatband the Mustangs in the early 60's, with which he perfomed as the front singer on several occasions in Surinam. 

John has written songs for artists like Artino Oldenstam and Ruben "Stoffie" Muringen. He also participated as composer/songwriter at SuriPop (a Surinamese national songcontest with several of his songs.
